What are your top 5 principles for personal improvement?
These are the 5 points I apply to try to be a better person every day. :)
Get up early.
I usually plan to get up 3 hours before leaving home in the morning. Thus, I can do several activities while everyone is still sleeping, like moving forward in my school projects, taking care of household chores, doing sports (when I have the motivation…). In addition, you will take a new rhythm that will avoid you to sleep late!
Help the vulnerable.
If you see an elderly lady in transport, give her your place (do we still have to say?). If you see a mom with a stroller in front of stairs, help her carry the stroller. If you come across tourists who seem lost, politely offer them your help.
Do you grow.
That’s why we’re on Quora, right? Being curious, thirsting for knowledge beyond your studies or your work, is a real plus. You will discover many interesting things, and will have a new vision of the things you have learned before. (In addition, you can bring out these anecdotes in the evenings, isn’t that great?)
Prioritize your problems.
If like me, you don’t like calendars, you can just take a sheet and create a to-do-list. The fact of writing on paper "write the conclusion of the report", "finish the application" etc. allows me to distinguish the fastest tasks from the most time-consuming.
Learn to forgive.
This is certainly the hardest point for many people. I know a lot of people who hold grudges! And yet, it may be my artichoke heart that speaks, but I feel that life is too short to not enjoy the people you care about, even if they behaved badly for a while. If these people are sincere, really apologize, then my door will always be open to them. Hatred and negative thoughts torture the mind.
